Reflection Essay Topics - Writing the Right Essay Topic

Reflection Essay Topics - Writing the Right Essay TopicReflective narrative essay topics are just what they sound like. They are the subjects of a reflective essay that is the product of having considered your topic beforehand and then deciding to write about it. If you have just decided to write about an issue, but do not know where to start, a reflective essay can be your solution. You do not have to be a writer, or even familiar with the techniques of writing, to create a reflective essay. There are many ways to go about writing reflective essays. Most people use formal writing styles, such as the dreaded journal style. In a journal-style essay, the writer typically starts by making some background on their topic. This could be an explanation of a recent event, a recollection of a previous issue or even simply a summary of their own point of view. This allows the writer to be a little more focused and allows them to craft their sentences in such a way that allows the reader to conne ct their current issue with the issue of which they are writing. For an example, let's say you were looking for an article on a ghost hunter for your child's story theme. If you wrote the story in your diary, you might write, 'A ghost hunter found this big stuffed monkey which I later found in my sock drawer. I wonder what it's up to.'But if you were going to write in the journal style, you might write, 'A ghost hunter found this big stuffed monkey, and this huge bundle of feathers that he immediately couldn't understand. What a mystery. Who could have given him these?' The journal style can help you express yourself more clearly, but it doesn't really allow you to state your opinion very well. The same could be said for reflective essay topics such as a native American and a prominent representative of their culture. The Native American might be speaking about his beliefs and heritage, while the representative is saying how 'ignorant' these people are, making the reader feel much mor e connected to the topic. Reflective essay topics often require a better understanding of the culture and history of the people or area in question. But when you are deciding whether to include reflective essay topics in your piece, keep in mind that they are much more than writing a story or even discussing an issue. They must be used effectively in order to successfully make a statement. Reflective essay topics are powerful tools that can help you succeed in expressing yourself, allowing you to connect your thoughts to the topic, whether you choose to do so through formal language or by using some less common techniques of writing.
